Outpatient Treatment Services
We offer a variety of treatment services to children, adolescents, adults of all ages and their families. Services include assessments, individualized therapy, group therapy, family therapy, infant & early childhood mental health consultation, cooccurring diagnosis treatment, medication services, and supporting rehabilitation services.
Our psychiatrists and professional clinicians will work in partnership with you to develop goals for treatment and an individualized plan of care based on your strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences. Your treatment will be provided by an evidence based modality that best meets the needs of your mental health diagnosis.
Examples of Evidence Based Treatment Modalities:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Involves strategies to change thinking patterns in an effort to change behavior.
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
Focuses on providing skills in mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.
Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR)
Psychotherapy that helps patients heal from symptoms and emotional distress that are a result of disturbing life experiences.
Intense Community Treatment (ICT)
Comprehensive treatment that includes vocational rehabilitation, peer support, and an array of clinical interventions
Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)
Therapy that strengthens relationships between parents and children.
Multi-Dimensional Family Therapy (MDFT)
A family-focused treatment that transforms young lives and sets the course for a better future.
Motivational Interviewing
Treatment that addresses ambivalence to change
Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT)
Conjoint child and parent approach for those experiencing significant difficulties related to traumatic life events.
How We Bill For Services
Everyone is charged the same amount for the same services. All fees for service are set by the South Carolina Department of Mental Health. Payment is expected at the time services are delivered.
Catawba Community Mental Health will file claims with Medicaid, Medicare and some private insurance providers. It is the responsibility of the insured to contact their insurance company to inquire as to in-network/ out-of-network coverage.
If you do not have behavioral health insurance, you will be billed directly for the services you receive. We do offer a fee reduction based on insurance coverage, household income, and household size. Services will not be denied based on ability to pay.
Fees for Service
Catawba Community Mental Health Center charges fees for services. Payment may be made by cash, check, money order, Medicare or Medicaid. The business office is available to discuss payment plans for patients and their families. The Center can help individuals determine if they may be eligible for public benefits.
