About Us

Catawba Community Mental Health Center provides mental health services to people of all ages, offering counseling, psychiatric assessment, medication management, crisis intervention, and other services to those experiencing serious mental illness and significant emotional disorders. We have psychiatrists, nurses, counselors, and others who provide direct clinical services, as well as administrative staff who support the clinical mission.

Who We Serve

The Catawba Community Mental Health Center provides emergency services, case management, outpatient counseling and psychiatric treatment for children, adolescents, adults, and families in Chester, Lancaster, and York Counties.

The priority populations that we serve are:

  • adults with serious and persistent mental illness
  • adults with major, acute psychiatric concerns
  • children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbances

Catawba Community Mental Health Center, in partnership with patients, families and their diverse communities, will support the recovery citizens with mental illness.

OUR PRIORITIES

Catawba Community Mental Health Center will give priority to adults and children with serious mental illnesses and serious emotional disturbances and will fulfill its legislative mandates. We will work cooperatively with other agencies, both public and private, to assure continuity of services based on the needs of the individual.

RECOVERY ORIENTED SYSTEM

The South Carolina Department of Mental Health is a recovery-oriented system. The agency and all its treatment centers and facilities incorporate the recovery philosophy.

CLINIC LOCATIONS

We have clinics located in Chester, Lancaster, and York counties. Click here,  to view our locations.

School Based
For the convenience of our patients, we are able to hold appointments at some local schools during school hours.

Telehealth
We offer services via phone and/or video call for the convenience of our patients. This allows connection between patients and psychiatrist and other clinical staff without the need to travel.

Community Based
We have clinicians seeing patients in multiple community based locations including Pathways Community Center, York County Mental Health Court, Moss Justice System, and the Chester County Detention Center.
